With his family by his side, peacefully passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his home in Hamilton at the age of 67 years. John was a 32 year veteran of the Hamilton Fire Department. John is survived by his loving wife Heidi and his sons Tim (Twila), Sean, and Patrick (Courtney), his two beautiful granddaughters Rachel and Hannah. John is also survived by his sister Anne (Tom (deceased), Jim (Karen), and Dave (Kathy). Brother-in-law of the late Helmut (Erika), Dieter (the late Rose Marie), Edith (Rudolph), and the late Walter (Hannelore). He will be sadly missed by his best buddy Kaos. John will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Cremation has taken place.
