METHAM, James Victor Captain, Hamilton Fire Department (retired) Suddenly on November 29, 2010 in his 70th year. Survived by wife of 46 years Mary Louise Metham, and sons Steve (Linda), Todd, and Colin (Amber), sister Lorraine Chatelaine, and his nine adoring grandchildren: Jamie, Justin, Jacob, Joshua, Jared, Aidan, Danica, Parker, and Reid. PreDeceased by brothers Alan and William, brother-in-law Maurice Chatelaine, and sisters-in-law Mary and Irene. Already sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Well known and loved by many throughout his active life which included coaching and supporting minor hockey, retired firefighter events, membership in the Veteran’s Service League, and in recent years as an employee of Zarky’s Fine Foods. Visitations will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL (1309 King Street East, across from Gage Park at the Delta). Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, (116 MacNab Street South). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Salvation Army.
