MILLAR, Gordon Kenneth; It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon Kenneth Millar on January 15, 2013 in his 82nd year at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary (MacFarlane) of 58 years. Loving father of Sheila Rotondi (Daryl Bradt), Janice Griese (Mark) and Lori Millar (Brian Johnston). Best buddy and Pop of Nicholas (Donna) and Anthony Rotondi and Kevin (Lisa) and Jessica McKee; Special Pop to Corey Bradt. Sadly leaves behind his brothers Robert and Colin (Barb) Millar and sister-in-law Marge Millar. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Jean Millar, his loving brother John (1992) and sister-in-law Betty (2012) and brother-in-law of Dorothy Muir and Joyce MacFarlane. Special uncle to Bobby Millar (Gravenhurst) and loved by many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his breakfast buddy, Ken Kiernan.

Gord served the City of Hamilton Fire Department for 31 years, retiring as Chief Fire Prevention Officer in 1986 and was a long time member of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge #594.

 At Gord's request, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the M.A. CLARK & SONS FUNERAL HOME (567 Upper Wellington Street, Hamilton) Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday January 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday January 19th at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date.

 Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their love and support during Gord's final journey. Thanks to CCAC.

Gord will always be remembered for his quick wit, wisdom and most importantly for his love of his family.
