With courage and dignity, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Gordon died on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. He was the son of Jessie and the late William Macnab. Left to mourn him are his wife Peggy (née Smith) and his children Dan Macnab (Lori), Drew Macnab (Michelle), and Melanie Zister (Steve). Gord was the very proud papa of Riley and Sadie Macnab, and Annie and Sam Zister.

Gordon was a Hamilton Firefighter for 35 years and a lieutenant (N) in the Canadian Reserve for 29 years. He was associated with Lion and Dundas Sea Cadets.

At this time, the family would like to thank the staffs at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their kindness and care. Also, never did a man have better friends and neighbours, especially Rick and Janet.

A Memorial Visitation is planned at Christ Church Flamborough, 92 Hamilton Regional Rd. 8, Dundas, ON L9H 4V5, on Sunday, February 10 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and a Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held at the church on Monday, February 11 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the church.

According to Gord’s wishes, he will be buried at sea.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
