It is with great sadness that the family announces that suddenly on Tuesday, January 13, 1998, Eric Wildish, in his 69th year. Beloved and cherished husband of Sophia. Devoted and much loved father and gramps to daughter Nancy and her husband Rick Smith and their children, Sarah and Spencer. Also leaves behind to mourn his stepson, Larry Miller (of B.C.) and grand-children, Alexander, Jessica and Denise. He will forever be missed by his sister, Irene (Dolly) and her husband the late Mervyn Black and his brother, Fred and his wife Louise. Dear uncle of Jim and George, Gary (Joan), Ron (Janice) as well as many good friends and family. ]

Eric was a retired and devoted employee of the Hamilton Fire Department with 36 years of service, a member of the Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite, member of the Hamilton Fire Fighters Drum and Bugle Corps, for several years. Also a member of the Salvation Army.

Visiting at The MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 19, 1998 at 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
