With great sadness the family announces
the passing of Richard (Dick) Holmes, at home, on Friday,
December 19, 2014, in his 83rd year.
Loving husband of 42 years to Lorraine. A greatly loved father of Debbie (Bob) and Sharon (Dan). He will be greatly missed as a loving grampa to his "TIGER" Stacey (Justin), Kristy (Alphee) and Danielle (Jesse). Cherished grampy to Kennedy and Logan and great grampa to Landon, Jacob and Brooklyn. Dick was predeceased by his parents Winnifred and Albert and brother Robert. Dick was a retired firefighter with the Hamilton Fire Department and a Korean War Veteran with the Canadian Navy. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses Sara, Kathryn and Tricia who provided him with the greatest compassionate care during the past year which enabled Dick to reside at home comfortably. |
