It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of William John Midwinter in his 72nd year. Loving husband of Luella for more than 53 years. Loved father of Bill Jr. (Debbie), pre-deceased by daughter Kelly (2006). Devoted and proud Papa to Alicia and Tyler. Brother of Colleen (Archie, 2000) McPhee and Gary (Theresa) Midwinter.

Bill joined the Canadian Forces as a young man and on his release became a proud member of the Hamilton Fire Department where he served for 30 years before retiring.

Bill will be missed and remembered by his family, many good friends and his four legged pal, Sam. Special thanks to Father Bergsma, the VON and CCAC for their exceptional care and assistance.

Visitation will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – "William J. Markey Chapel," 947 Rymal Rd. E., HAMILTON (905-574-0405), Thursday, October 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14th at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church (1694 Upper James Street). Enichement will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton General Hospital Burn Unit would be appreciated by the family.
