Passed away peacefully, in his 86th year, on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Devoted and loving husband of 58 years to Mary. Dear father and father-in-law to Patricia Gogishvili (Michael), Gary Smith, Janet Lee, Beverly Crewson (John), and Leslie Stringer (Wayne). Cherished and adored grandfather to Nina, Aaron, Nicole, Jaclyn, Carolyn, Jennifer, Corey, Laura and Shawn, as well as many other family members and lifelong friends.

Veteran of WWII, Second Canadian Division R.C.A.S.C. from 1939 to 1945.

Retired Captain of the Hamilton Fire Department with 35 years of service.

Enjoyed many years of retirement with his family.

 
Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Hamilton Burn Unit or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 1 pm to 4 pm at 225 Brigade Drive, Hamilton.
