Alan Ernest Metham - Suddenly on June 12, 2000 at the Hamilton General Hospital, Alan, in this 69th year. Beloved husband of 49 years to Irene, loving father of Kim and her husband Mike Meville and Mark and his friend Dee. Proud grandfather to Jasmine, Tyler, and Lindsay. Alan is survived by his brother Bill and his wife Mary, Jim and his wife Louise, and by his sister Lorraine and her husband Morris Chatelaine.

Alan was a proud retired Hamilton Fire Fighter with 33 years of service, he will be fondly remembered by all of his nieces, nephews and friends as "Big Al".

In accordance with Alan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North, (544-1147) on Friday, June 16, 2000 at 1 p.m.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
