Charles Edward (Ted)Morgan January 25, 1932 - February 25, 2025

		It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our parents, Charles Edward Morgan at the age of 93 and Shirley Annie Morgan (nee Mawhinny) at the age of , on February 25, 2025. Charles and Shirley passed away peacefully, holding each other’s hands, a symbol of the lifelong love they shared. Charles was born on January 25, 1932, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Shirley was born on April 25, 1936, in Hamilton, Ontario. Together, they raised a family full of love and warmth. Charles was a proud Hamilton Firefighter for many years, serving primarily at Central Station where he rose to the rank of lieutenant. Shirley worked for many years as a waitress at the Plainsman Restaurant until her retirement. Charles and Shirley were married for 49 wonderful years. They found great joy in the outdoors, and after Charles’ retirement, they made their home in Point au Baril, Ontario, where they embraced a simpler life surrounded by nature. Loving parents to Larry Lofthouse (Susan), Linda Hunter, Karen Morgan (Terry), Sharon Douglas, Barbara Smith (Steve), Dave Morgan (Pam), and Sue Tompkins (Mike), they will be deeply missed and forever cherished by their 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. They were also predeceased by their beloved sons, Glenn Lofthouse, Steven Lofthouse and Wayne Morgan. Charles and Shirley were further predeceased by son-in-law Ed Hunter and William Douglas. They are also survived by daughter-in-law Colleen Morgan. In keeping with their wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Private Urn Committal will be held at Hamilton Cemetery on York Blvd. in the Spring.
