It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Steven
Frank Morelli aka “Faccia” He passed away peacefully at home in his
sleep Tuesday, March 12th, 2024. Steve is survived by his wife of 55
years Barbara and his two sons Tyson and Tom (Amanda). He was a beloved
grandfather to his cherished grandchildren Kezia, Anikan, Asria,
(Annick), Drew and Zack Morelli. He was a devoted brother to Ron (Sue)
Morelli, Debbie Morelli and countless cousins. Favourite Uncle Steve to
eight nieces/nephews. He is also survived by the remaining members of
the “Dirty Dozen”. Steve is predeceased by his parents Albert and
Constance (Evangelisto) as well as brother Tommy.
Known for his sense of humour and genuine kindness, Steve was adored by
all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence brightened any
gathering, and his absence will be deeply felt by many.
In accordance with Steve’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. The
family will hold a private funeral service to honor his life, with a
celebration of life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers,

For over three decades, he proudly served as a devoted member of The Hamilton Fire Department. In addition, Steve was also a proud partner in Brothers Equipment Rentals for over 30 years. His entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic were evident in everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on the business and those he worked alongside. Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve’s true passion lay in fostering connections and creating memories with family and friends. As a founding member of the “Dirty Dozen” Thursday Crew, he cherished the camaraderie and bonds formed over shared experiences. Whether organizing the annual “Wayne Murray Classic” Firefighter Horseshoe Tournament or hosting family picnics, Steve had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and spreading joy wherever he went. Though Steve may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. May he rest in peace, knowing he made the world a brighter place with his presence. |
