Peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family by his side
on Monday, March 18, 2019 in his 87th year. Loving husband of
Doreen for 62 years. Dedicated and loving father of Darlene
(Paul), Kelly, Wendy (John) and Ron (Karen). Cherished Papa of
Shannon (Chris), Chelsea, Jesse (Anthony), Jeff, Zachary, the
late Olivia, Emma, Adam and Abbey. Survived by his siblings,
Ken, Herbie (Ruth), Peggy (Rudy), Sharon (the late Ramsay) and
Susan (Gabor).
Ronald proudly served 32 years as a Hamilton
Professional Firefighter.
He was a Tyke Hockey Coach and Referee
from 1970 to the 1990's with the Hamilton Huskies Hockey
Organization.
Ron will always be remembered by his contagious
laugh and his ability to make friends anywhere he went. He was a
huge supporter of his grandchildren's sports and could always be
heard from the stands rooting them on. Dads sense of humor and
sense of family will live on throughout his children and
grandchildren, we thank you Dad.
Special thank you to the
caregivers at The Village of Wentworth Heights, especially
Carrington Neighborhood staff.
Family will receive friends at
CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Thursday, March
21st from 1-4 and 6-9pm.
Funeral service will take place on
Friday, March 22nd at 11 am in the chapel.
Interment to follow
in Mt. Hamilton Cemetery. .
Donations made to the Alzheimer
Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
