Leonard was a dedicated firefighter for Hamilton for over 30 years, primarily at Station 9 on Kenilworth Avenue N., where he was known as "Lightning". After retirement, he said he missed working with the boys. Leonard will be remembered for his love of family, fishing and westerns. He was a true family man and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. His family is grateful for the kindness, comfort and support from family, friends, neighbours and co-workers, and all the caring staff at the Juravinski and especially the staff at St. Peter's who worked so hard and with tremendous compassion. His children always ensured that one of them was by his side. Leonard, our lives were blessed by your love for us and we will love you always and forever. Family will receive friends for a time of visitation at the L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa Street N., Hamilton on Friday, February 18 from 1-3 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for the spring. If desired, please consider a donation in his memory to the Cancer Assistance Program, Hamilton. |
