Passed away peacefully on July 24th with his wife at his side, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Lois (Easton) for 65 years. Loving Father of Jay (Sylvia), Rand (Patricia) and Susan. Will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Christopher (Larissa), John (Andrea), Robin (Jordan), and Martin (Kaity) and eight great- grandchildren. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Sadie, sisters Bernice and Madge and brothers Jack and Larry. Survived by sisters Betty, Shirley and Glade.

Dick was a detective with the Sarnia detachment of the O.P.P. until 1968 and later retired from the Office of the Fire Marshal, at which time he co-founded the company Origin and Cause.

Active member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Port Dover until 2011 when he and Lois relocated to Dundas. Dick was an avid sportsman; hunting, fishing, curling and golf. Above all, he loved his family.

Private interment will be followed by a memorial service and reception at Knox Presbyterian Church, 23 Melville Street, Dundas, Ontario beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3rd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
