Donald Gordon Wishart

    Peacefully on January 6th, in his 91st year, Don left us to join the love of his life, Margaret. Survived by his step-son Bob Simpson (Kathy), grand-daughters Kandice (Lionel), and Kaitlyn (Robbie), great-grandchildren Lincoln and Emma, siblings Tom (Margaret), Margie (Dave) and John (Cathy), and long-time ‘in-law’ friend Mary (Chet, deceased).
Pre-deceased by his wife Margaret, son Howard, step-daughter Audrey, and siblings Eileen, Frank, Jean and Judy.
Don was a proud member of the Hamilton Fire Department, retiring as Platoon Chief in 1992 after 35 years of dedicated service.
Special thanks to the staff at Arbour Creek Care Centre for the kind and compassionate care they have given Don.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
