Age 71, died suddenly at his seasonal residence in Pinellas Park, Florida on Sunday, December 31, 1995. Family members include his wife, Lorna, a son, Bob and his wife Joanne, a daughter, Cathy and her husband Bruce Buffett, five grandchildren; Erin, Lindsay, James, Christopher, and Jaclyn. Dick was the only child of William and Sarah Kendall.

Dick was a retired member of the Hamilton Fire Department and served with the Canadian Navy during WWII.

He was a current member of the Lions Club in Port Dover, where Dick and Lorna enjoyed their retirement.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Services will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, corner of Market and St George Streets, in Port Dover, on Sunday, January 7 at 3 pm. The family will receive visitors at the Buffett home (12 Talisman Court, off Sarasota) on Monday, January 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
