GRAY, Brian
Donald Passed away peacefully
with his family by his side Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age
of 72. Big Bri is survived by his loving partner of 18 years,
Beverly (Louch) Vollick. Loved father of children, Monica
(Stephen) Wright, Scott (Sherri) Cowan, Susanne (Peter) Hart,
Ted (Denise) Clarke, and Jason (Jodie) Clarke. Loved grandfather
to Courtney, Makenzie, Cale, Cameron, Sarah, Riley, Regan,
Andrew, Katie and Grace. He will be missed by his extended
family, many friends, and the squirrels.
At the age
of 15 Brian became a volunteer firefighter with the Stoney Creek
Fire Department, and became a full time firefighter at the age
of 18. Through his dedication and commitment he worked his way
up to be the Deputy Fire Chief before retiring in 1999.
Bri always believed in helping others and continued to do so by
volunteering in the community.
Since a
young boy, Bri had a passion for trains. This passion continued
throughout his life time which was evident by his extensive
model train collection and the time he spent creating his own
operational train village. From his early days of drag racing
down King Street, Bri continued his love of racing cars and
started the family Nascar pool which he suspiciously leads for
the second year in a row.
The family
would like to thank the amazing staff of the Cardiac Care Unit
at St. Joseph's Hospital.
