With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in his 88th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley (McFarlane) of 67 years. Loving dad of Joanne (John), Kerry, Bob (Helen). Cherished Papa of Caitlin (Derek), Rylie, Matt (Sandra), Carley (Nathan), Haley (Alistair) and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jim (Marilyn) and Eileen Wilmot. Predeceased by sisters Margaret Green and Mary Nunn and brothers-in-law Gord Green, Lloyd Nunn and Bob Wilmot. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Bill retired in 1988 after 33 years of service with the Hamilton Fire Department. He was a member of the Hamilton Fire Department Drum and Bugle Corp, former active member of Kings Forest Golf Club and an active member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King St. W., Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
