William (Bill) Gordy of Hamilton, ON passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020. Bill had been a resident of Seasons Stoney Creek, a Senior Retirement Home Community in Stoney Creek (Hamilton), ON. Bill was predeceased by his wife Bertha (2016). He was also pre-deceased by sister Annie of Powassan, Michal and Evans of Simcoe. He is survived by sister Nancy of Simcoe.

Bill was a long time heavy vehicle mechanic with the Hamilton Fire Department for more than 16 years following an extensive career with Smith Transport in Hamilton. Bill was always the go-to-guy for television repairs, in-the-day.

It has been reported that Bill also served overseas during WWII and was part of a Tank Corps. Bill was wounded in action but returned to duty until the end of the war.
