Passed away peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Saturday,
March 11, 2017 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 66 years to
Lois (nee Harrison). Deeply loved by his children Jeffrey
(deceased), Doreen, Nadene (Michael), Darlene (Chris), Esther
(Ken) and Stephanie (Jim). Special father-in-law to Deb.
Cherished Papa to 14 grandchildren and Papa-Great to 10
great-grandchildren. Al devoted his life to service. He long term member of the Hamilton Fire Department, retiring as Deputy Chief. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge and a faithful member of Linden Park United Church. Al will be remembered for his gregarious laugh, his love of picnics and pie, family reunions and his famous shortbread cookies. He will be missed by so many, but he will be cherished and loved forever. Family and friends will gather at Linden Park United Church, 484 East 16th Street, on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Al's memory to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or a charity of your choice. "Tally ho!" |
